They may be surprised, but most parents are quite happy to pay for extra help, even if it’s just a little bit here and there.
Another way is to use your creative talents. If you draw well, offer to draw portraits of your friends and family for a small cost. Friendship bracelets, as well, are a great way to bring in money, and you can start buying the materials with your allowance. Selling them for $2 – $5 doesn’t seem like it would get you very far, but that money adds up.
One Fashion Item At A Time, Please
If you’re absolutely stuck with that $10 allowance, it’s time to go through your closet and decide which clothes are still in style, and which ones you wouldn’t be caught dead in. Then, go through what you’re keeping and figure out how to mix and match them to the best effect. Now go shopping.
Hit the Internet; don’t worry, you aren’t going to buy anything. Keep your outfits in mind and search for fashionable teen clothing that would go well with what you already have. Now here’s the hard part. Make a decision on one piece of clothing you would like to buy, while keeping in mind that you have a small budget.
You have an entire month to find that perfect piece of fashionable teen clothing at the best price, so take your time and make sure it’s something that you really want. Little by little, you’ll find your closet filling up. You’ll have something new to show your friends, and you’ll learn the best places to shop for new teen fashion trends.
